Atonement
03:08
|
|||
The suffering that I have caused
The grips of tyranny I can’t escape
My hands covered in soot
From this world I set aflame
Atop these ivory towers
Gleaming with stolen pride
Jewels to shine reflection
Staring back in cathartic eyes
The fortitude that I’ve ignored
The ramparts I’ve sat behind
Deafened to the shrieks
That wail from the other side
Sorrow in these plea’s
Regrets of lives past
Choking on redemption
Atonement beyond my grasp
Hilts of malicious swords
Tainted with toxic blades
Penetrate with righteous cause
As ends meet through me
How can I prosper
While the world tears me down
Suffering, a heart of gold
Shattered from abuse’s chokehold
Wounds of my own making
Tearing piece by piece
The theft of potential
Purpose abandoning
I am guilty

Requiem
03:26
|
|||
Illuminating this flame sets free
The sight of turpitude
Hidden behind gluttony
Lies cruelty and abetion
And in my dreams I see the aftermath
Apocalypse looming as streams run red
Consequences for our selfishness
If reparations deem it we deserve death
I can’t (I won’t) let our efforts die in vain
Sworn to (this cause) to beseech morality
You are the virus bleeding this world dry
Complicit in a system of genocide
This is a call for reclamation
Holy war for human extinction
This crusade will show no mercy
Your actions will face judgement
The bane of all existence
This cancer must be cleansed
For whatever the cost, for whatever means found necessary, the future of life and ecological prosperity must be defended. The forests lay barren, the oceans pooling with waste, the country sides are breeding grounds for lives forsaken to commodity. Hierarchy has forsaken mankind into a cycle of violence, we must break that chain.
